Therapist / Counselor Laura Phillips, MSW, LCSW
“At some point or another, each of us comes up against sticking points, loss of direction, or painful experiences. It is not always the case that “time heals all wounds.” Unresolved issues can impact us over our lifetime. Therapy is one tool to help you unlock your authenticity, resilience, and drive. I am honored to walk beside each individual to develop clear goals and begin to recover focus and meaning. I am curious to get to know you as a whole person. Whether you are seeking help with anxiety, trauma, mood, or relationships and intimacy, together we will work to utilize your unique strengths for healing.
I work with teens and adults using evidenced-based practices and create an individualized approach for each client based upon their unique goals. My approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-informed therapies such as emotion-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. We will work together to find strategies and supports that foster the change you want to see in your life. I welcome all LGBTQAI individuals and continue to educate myself on strengths and issues relevant to this diverse group.
I believe there is a powerful self within each of us striving towards healing. I sincerely look forward to working with you towards a more fulfilling life. – Laura (she/her).”
