Therapist / Counselor Stephanie Henderson, LCSW (Online Therapy)

“As a therapist, I have had the opportunities to work with children, adults, and families. I work with clients and meet them where they are, by using a strengths-based perspective, a client centered approach, and play therapy techniques. I believe therapy is a journey, and as the therapist, my job is to help you reach the individual or family goals that you wish to accomplish. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches with clients to maintain a safe, productive, and honest environment.
Play-based therapy is a powerful tool used to address behavioral and emotional challenges. I have used play-based interventions with children and young adults to help clients better process their experiences and develop a toolbox of strategies for managing their worlds. I also connect with individuals by establishing a trusting therapeutic alliance and leveraging their interests to help improve their overall quality of life.
I use creative play-based interventions such as music therapy, bibliotherapy, sand tray therapy, and expressive arts techniques to address a variety of issues including trauma, family stressors, life transitions, self-esteem and confidence, mood dysregulation, and grief and loss.
If chosen to be your therapist, I look forward to the opportunity to incorporate your feedback through your therapeutic process. I am a firm believer that having a therapeutic outlet can help improve your overall quality of life. I provide a nonjudgmental environment while working through your goals.
I understand that opening up can be scary and that it does take courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life. Thank you for taking the first steps towards a change and reaching out to me. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you! I look forward to working with you to meet your therapeutic goals!”
