Life Enrichment Counseling Center offers a variety of professional services designed to provide the most effective care possible for each client.
Services most frequently provided are: Individual Psychotherapy: Individual psychotherapy involves meeting with a therapist one-on-one for the purpose of reducing internal struggles which occurs in the form of problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, and sensations in the body. Couples/Marriage Psychotherapy (visit: MarriageHealingCenter.com): Marriage/Couples psychotherapy helps couples, married or unmarried, understand and resolve conflicts and improve their relationship. Couples therapy gives couples the tools to communicate better, negotiate differences, problem solve and resolve conflict in a healthier way. The focus of the therapy is on the couple’s relationship vs. the individual. Couples therapy can be short term. You may need only a few sessions to help you work through a crisis. Or you may need couples therapy for several months, particularly if your relationship has greatly deteriorated. As with individual psychotherapy, you typically see a therapist once a week. Illness, infidelity, sex, anger, communication problems can contribute to distress in marriages or other relationships. Marriage therapy or couples counseling can help resolve conflicts and heal wounds. Family Counseling / Psychotherapy: Family therapy may help to promote better relationships and understanding within a family. Family counseling often occurs with all members of the family unit present although this may not always be the case. Part of the goal of the therapist is to observe interactions between family members. Another part is to observe the perception of non-interacting family members. In addition to observation, the therapist often helps the family reflect on better ways of communicating with each other. Family counseling may in part be instruction and encouragement. Family counseling often teaches family members new and more positive ways to communicate to replace old, negative communication patterns. Adolescent Counseling: Adolescents generally find it difficult to eloquently verbalize their feelings. They are often overwhelmed and even confused by the number of complex feelings that come as they move toward adulthood. However, for teens, most conflicts involve differences between family members or issues over expectations of parents, in addition to peer and school pressures. Substance Abuse Evaluations: Substance abuse assessments and evaluations for drug and alcoholic addictions may be requested by families, attorneys, schools, or the court system. Services may include evaluation, educational information, and/or psychotherapy sessions. Evaluations may be brief or comprehensive as needed. Our Certified Substance Counselors will be able to monitor compliance with treatment goals or court orders. Services are provided to adolescents and adults.
